ORHVS, is the generally accepted industry standard for instructions governing any operating, construction or maintenance work on any electrical power system and must be read in conjunction with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) as amended and the regulations made thereunder, with particular reference to General Machinery Regulations, 1988, and are therefore an extension of the act.

This course is aimed at people who needs to be authorised for access to restricted and prohibited areas only and to supervise tasks performed at ground level only that does not require a work permit.
