XLPE and PILC Cable Jointing and Terminating Course

Cable joints and terminations play a vital role in providing dependable electrical connection, mechanical support and physical safeguarding of cables, they make physical and electrical connection between the cable and the terminal of the equipment, junction or another cable thereby facilitating the flow of electricity in the desired manner. Learners will be shown the correct way of jointing and terminating cables to ensure the cable network as a whole is fit for service.

The objective of this course is to provide the learner with the required knowledge and skill to plan, prepare, joint and terminate XLPE and PILC MV cables according to specific standards and manufacturer’s specifications.
